Microsoft’s next big franchise ‘Quantum Break’ has been bumped into 2016
Nearly two years after its initial announcement at the Xbox One unveiling in May of 2013, Remedy and Microsoft Studio’s new IP, ‘Quantum Break,’ has been bumped out of the fall exclusive line-up. While Remedy has a track record for having their games delayed several times before launch *cough* ‘Alan Wake’ *cough*, it is still a bit of a surprise to see a game that looked pretty slick last summer be delayed. That being said, a delay will offer the developers time to further polish their game as well as open up a bit shoulder room for Microsoft’s other exclusives: Tomb Raider, Halo 5: Guardians, Fable Legends, and Forza Motorsport 6.

With Quantum Break, Microsoft has officially joined Nintendo and Sony in having to bump back big name titles this fall. The takeaway is that a slightly weaker fall exclusive lineup on your platform of choice only makes for a beefier spring of 2016.
