A brief audio trailer gets us ready for the brightest and best Plants v. Zombies sequel
Earlier last month, EA noted that both Mirrors Edge and a sequel to Garden Warfare were scheduled for release in Q1 of 2016, so a reveal at E3 shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans of the series. To help us get pumped for more Plant on Zombie action, EA and PopCap have released a small audio teaser trailer this morning. Check it out!
When Plants v. Zombies: Garden Warfare launched, it was exclusive to Xbox One before later making its way to PC and PlayStation 4. The fact that the game will be debuting during the Xbox conference hints at a possible partnership between PopCap, EA and Microsoft. Whether that means full or timed exclusivity or simply Xbox-first DLC has yet to be revealed, but I’m sure we’ll hear more about it next week!
If you’ve never played Garden Warfare, it’s easy to dismiss the title for being a shooter for children. I urge you to look past that surface judgement, to discover a rich, diverse and rewarding third person shooter that takes quite a bit of skill and strategy to master. Although it wasn’t my favorite game from 2014, I’d be a liar if I told you I didn’t sink entire weekends into slaughtering enemies in vibrant explosions. Now that the game is available on the cheap, I can’t recommend this game enough to fans of third person shooters regardless of age.
