‘Halo 5’ Pre-order Goodies Leaked By Xbox Japan Twitter

Thanks to Xbox’s Japanese Twitter account, five brand-new multiplayer weapon variants have been detailed

Just like their in-depth early posting about Forza Motorsport 6 a few weeks back, it seems Xbox Japan is terrible with timing. That being said, their poor execution gave us a great first look at what sort of weapon skins and attachments to expect later this fall! Check out these five incentives that are being offered to those who pre-order Halo 5: Guardians! A quick reminder: any weapon bonuses noted in these photos only work in ‘Warzone’. Arena multiplayer only allows cosmetic changes.

Note the recoil compensator mentioned at the bottom.

This AR mod features a energy bayonet. Assume it increases melee range in Warzone.

This variant boasts later target, but what that actually means in combat has yet to be determined by the community.

Thanks to the long barrel mod, we can assume the SMG has increased range.

This DMR features a silencer. While that is a big turn off to many, as long as 343i nails the balance, this should be fine.

If you don’t pre-order games due to (justified) paranoia of buying a broken game, 343i Studio Head Josh Holmes noted that all pre-order incentives could also be unlocked in-game. So if you don’t mind not having these bonuses day one, you’ll still be able to access them through a bit of multiplayer progression!

Halo 5: Guardians launches October 27th exclusively on Xbox One.

What do you make of the new weapon skins and attachments? Will you be pre-ordering Halo 5 despite all of the Master Chief Collection issues last year? Feel free to share your thoughts with me on Twitter!
