Starting this July, Gold subscribers on Xbox One can expect two new games every month.
Although it has kicked off with a slow start on Xbox One last summer, it seems the Games With Gold promotion just got a whole lot better. It was announced today that Xbox Live Gold subscribers can finally expect two new free games each month they are subscribed to Gold. Thanks to the Games With Gold revamp, gamers will no longer be offered the same game for months on end.
Larry Hryb, otherwise known as Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, announced through his official Xbox blog that the service would be revamping as a celebration of two years of free games. And there’s no better way to kick off the announcement than to show what titles subscribers can expect next month! Check them out!
In addition to two free games per month, it seems that both titles will be be available for a full month despite the second title going live in the middle of the month. If you’re still hanging on to the 360, don’t expect any changes to your game offerings anytime soon. However, if you haven’t played Gears of War 3, I can’t recommend the game enough!
With last week’s announcement of backwards compatibility, all we need to have now is automatic backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 offerings to really make the program feel complete on Xbox One.
