Developer 343i is doing everything right to make Halo 5: Guardians the definitive console eSport.
As a routine blog update, 343i has laid the groundwork for players to create and join customizable clans called Spartan Companies. Companies will allow up to 100 players to unite under a single banner in Arena and WarZone game modes. Although there aren’t any hints in the official launch multiplayer playlists, many are speculating that 343i will eventually implement a mode that pits Companies head-to-head. To better explain how companies work, 343i has a nifty video that you can check out:
In addition to creating Companies, 343i has also revealed that you can now customize your Halo 5 multiplayer Spartan on the web via Halo Waypoint. Be sure to keep in mind that the character displayed on Waypoint is rendered at significantly lower quality than you’ll find in the full game when it releases.
Halo 5: Guardians is set to launch Oct. 27 exclusively on Xbox One.
