January’s PlayStation Plus Offerings

PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick up 6 free games across PS4, PS3 and Vita this January.

PlayStation is kicking 2016 off right by offering a decent line up of new and old free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

If you missed December’s free games, you still have time to pick them up from the PlayStation Store. After¬†January 4, the following games will be available free of charge to Plus subscribers:

PS Vita

Despite being around awhile, the two stand out titles this month are Grim Fandango Remastered and Dragon Age: Origins. Despite aging visually, Dragon Age: Origins still feels like the franchise’s sweet spot balancing story, combat and RPG elements in ways only Bioware¬†achieves. Fandango Remastered harks back to an earlier generation. The gameplay has aged a bit, but younger gamers can likely find enjoyment here as well.

Inspired by Hardware: Online Arena on PS2, Hardware: Rivals is making its “exclusive debut” this month on PS4 as a vehicle combat game with arcade-like design. Players are given a range of tank and jeep variants to challenge friends and enemies alike.

What do you think of this month’s offerings? Which title will you play first? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below or on Twitter!
