ESRB rates “The Witness” for Xbox One

Previously believed to be a PS4 and PC exclusive, it seems the Witness is making its way to Xbox One.

Thanks to a review from the Electronic Software Ratings Board, it seems Braid creator Jonathan Blow’s next game, The Witness, is coming Xbox One. Prior to the rating, it was believed that the game would be coming to PC, PS4 and iOS.

Because it hasn’t even been announced for Xbox, it’s safe to say the game will launch on Microsoft’s console sometime after its initial debut. Although he’s been open about Witness coming to other platforms in the future, the listing for Xbox One is somewhat surprising given some of Blow’s less than cordial words for Microsoft.

On the Witness’ site, it’s noted that the game is coming to iOS “some months” after the initial PS4 and PC release and “other platforms a bit later.” It’s probably fair to assume “other platforms” is referring to Xbox One.

The Witness is out on PS4 and PC on January 26, 2016.
