Two Xbox One special edition controllers revealed

Thanks to an update from Major Nelson, Xbox One gamers can expect new special edition controllers.

The special edition controllers (pictured above) harken back to the wildly popular chrome Xbox 360 controllers. Here’s all the bells and whistles you can expect from the $69.99 controller:

These new controllers feature a faded color gradient finish – blue-to-black for Dusk Shadow and copper-to-black for Copper Shadow – which is the first of its kind for Xbox One Wireless Controllers. They also come equipped with all the standard features of the Xbox One Wireless Controller, including Impulse Triggers, responsive thumbsticks, an enhanced D-pad, and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.

The controller seems pretty standard outside of the new colors, though it is nice to note that they’ll feature the headset jack that was recently added to the standard controllers.

If you’re looking to pick one of these controllers up in the US, you’ll have to go to specific retailers. The “copper shadow” controller will be available exclusively at the Microsoft Store or GameStop. If you’re looking to pick up the “dusk shadow” controller, you’ll need to shop at the Microsoft store or Best Buy.

While Major Nelson doesn’t give a specific date on his blog, the official Microsoft store claims they’ll begin shipping both special edition controllers on March 22.
