All Alan Wake DLC now free for Xbox users

Remedy Entertainment is now offering free DLC for their action-survival game Alan Wake.

Gamers who own Alan Wake on Xbox 360 can now download “The Signal” and “The Writer” free of charge from the Xbox Marketplace.

Though Microsoft and developer Remedy Entertainment haven’t said why they decided to make the DLC free, it’s safe to assume it’s a promotion for Remedy’s new game Quantum Break, which launched earlier this week.

Before Quantum Break’s launch, Remedy and Microsoft promised those who pre-ordered the game free copies of Alan Wake with its DLC (and the underrated American Nightmare spin-off) as a thank you. Now that the game is out, though, it’s great to see the free DLC is now available to everyone.

A few weeks back, Alan Wake was added to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program, so now there’s really no excuse to skip out on Remedy’s incredible action-survival game.
