At long last, official tools are bringing PC-created mods to Xbox One and PS4.
In a Fallout 4 blog update this morning, developer Bethesda has detailed new tools coming to PC users that will make building and installing mods a little easier. Once the PC version is up and running, Bethesda said mods will come to Xbox One in May and PS4 later on in June.
Bethesda first announced mods were coming to console shortly after Fallout 4 was announced at E3 last year. Although it is coming a little after their “early 2016” launch window, better late than never.
While it isn’t clear how open the console mod program will be, Bethesda said they hope mods change console gaming just as much as they did on PC.
