Ubisoft has announced their cult classic take on the colorful card game, Uno, will come to consoles and PC next month.
After years of fans asking for a next-gen installment, Ubisoft finally revealed that a next-gen realization of Uno would debut on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 9, 2016.
The game will feature traditional modes as well as the ability to add and modify rule sets to your liking. Ubisoft has also boasted about a new medals system and leaderboards that will add depth to the otherwise social experience.
A decade ago, Uno was made popular on consoles both for its addicting gameplay and players’ occasionally less-than-savory usage of video chat. Thankfully, both of the game’s hallmark features will be making a return this August.
Ubisoft has revitalized Uno with the help of China-based studio, Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, which is one of the biggest game development studios in Western China.
Along with the announcement, Ubisoft noted that the game would be part of the Microsoft Summer Spotlight Program during its first week of launch. Like yesteryear’s Summer of Arcade on Xbox, the Summer Spotlight Program will boast the best new digital games of the summer.
