Battlefield 1’s open beta is coming to consoles and PC at the end of the month.
After weeks of anticipation and teasers from developers, DICE has announced the open beta for Battlefield 1 will begin August 31.
Those who sign up as a Battlefield Insider and select their preferred platform by August 21 will also receive an early access code to jump into the beta a few days before everyone else.
The open beta will feature the Sinai Desert map, which boasts narrow village streets, majestic cliffs and rolling dunes. Just like the massive battle zeppelin shown in the Battlefield 1 alpha, Sinai Desert has its own Behemoth: an armored tank which thunders through the level to give the losing team a fighting chance.
The beta will feature two classic Battlefield modes: Conquest and Rush. In Conquest, two teams of 32 will fight for control points. In the 24-player Rush mode, one team will defend a series of telegraph locations while the attacking team will push up and try to blow them up. As attackers take out locations, the defending team will retreat and try to hold off the attackers’ advance.
The open beta launches on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 31 with Insiders gaining access sometime before then.
