Ubisoft’s sequel to Stick of Truth is taking a few extra months to polish up the game experience.
In a brief update on Ubisoft Blog, it has been announced that The Fractured But Whole has been delayed from its December release and will now launch sometime in Q1 2017.
While details were scarce, Ubisoft noted that the development team wanted to make sure the game was up to fans expectations and extra time will help them deliver the sequel the series deserves.
While the delay may disappoint fans, it’s something gamers who waited for Stick of Truth know all too well. Originally meant to ship in March of 2013, Stick of Truth was bumped to December 2014 and then again to March 2014. By that time, the Xbox One and PS4 were well into their initial release months and loss a share of gamers to next-gen platforms.
Thankfully, Ubisoft corrected this earlier this summer by rereleasing Stick of Truth on Xbox One and PS4. Regretfully, the next-gen version of the game is only available to those who pre-order Fractured But Whole.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will come to Xbox One, PS4 and PC early next year.
