Bethesda details Wolfenstein II season pass

Freedom Chronicles DLC will tell larger-than-life stories of resistance in Wolfenstein’s terrifying Nazi-occupied America.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus isn’t out for another three months, but that hasn’t stopped Bethesda and developer Machine Games from unveiling story DLC coming after launch.

For the first time, the Wolfenstein franchise will have a season pass after New Colossus launches on October 27, 2017. The season pass ($24.99 USD), now called The Freedom Chronicles DLC, will include three mini campaigns following three different protagonists in the resistance. In addition to the three DLC campaigns, Freedom Chronicles will also include “Episode Zero” which will introduce players to the new protagonists. Those who pre-order New Colossus will also get Episode Zero for free.

The first of the Freedom Chronicles DLC, The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, follows a former professional quarterback Joseph Stallion as he fights in the streets of Chicago and journeys to space. Diaries of Agent Silent Death follows ex-OSS agent Jessica Valiant as she infiltrates Nazi strongholds in California and uncovers fascist plans unfolding on America’s west coast. The final Freedom Chronicles DLC, The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins, follows U.S. Army hero Gerald Wilkins as he journeys to Alaska to destroy a Nazi operation called Black Sun.

Bethesda has yet to say when the Freedom Chronicles DLC will roll out, but it was quick to say additional gameplay information and release dates will be announced in the near-future.

Those intrigued by the Wolfenstein sequel but haven’t dipped their toes into the reboot will be happy to hear Bethesda is launching Wolfenstein: The Two-Pack on August 22, which includes Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. New Order was the 2014 reboot that is the direct prequel to New Colossus, while Old Blood is a shorter standalone game that launched in 2015 that tells a side-story not directly related to the main narrative. The Two-Pack will cost $29.99 and includes a $10 mail-in rebate for New Colossus. The Two-Pack is exclusive to North America.

Wolfenstein II: The New Collosus is out October 27, 2017. For more on Bethesda and Machine Game’s ambitious sequel, check on New Colossus E3 2017 debut.
