Ubisoft reveals Rainbow Six Siege’s “Blood Orchid” season

The new map and operators are set to release at the end of the month.

After three months of “Operation Health” addressing numerous gameplay issues, Ubisoft is set to release the third season of 2017, “Blood Orchid” on August 29, 2017 across all platforms. While season 2’s map was canned in the spring, one of the two Polish GROM operators slated to release last season will debut alongside the new map and Chinese operators. The second GROM operator will release in season 4 of this year.

Set in Hong Kong, the new map takes place in a run down amusement park. One of the circulating promotional images confirms the location.

Since the deployment of the final patch to Operation Health earlier this week, the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter has been teasing details about the next season. The first tweet below shows a worn down sign that translates to “amusement park.”

This gif is definitely one of the new operators, and based on the Polish eagle on the box, this is likely the GROM operator that’s set to release with Blood Orchid rather than one of the two Chinese operators.

The full reveal of the operators and map coming in Blood Orchid isn’t too far off. According to Siege’s Twitter, a full trailer for Blood Orchid will be shown off during the Pro League Championship at Gamescom on August 25 & 26, 2017. In their promo trailer, there’s even a hint at one of the new operators.

Are you happy to see the end of Operation Health, or do you still have concerns about the stability of the game going into a new season? Feel free to share your thoughts and operator theories in the comments below or on Twitter.
