Rumors surrounding the next Tomb Raider have been circulating for years, and we’ll finally learn more tomorrow.
This morning, the official Tomb Raider website updated with a date: March 15, 2018 – 6:00 a.m. PDT. While this will certainly pull back the curtain officially for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, some have found additional secrets hidden in the site’s HTML.
By viewing the landing page’s source code, there’s plenty of new information. First, there’s a second reveal date of April 27, saying: All pre-order incentives and SKUs will be revealed on April 27, 2018.
Additionally, by searching for platforms, the HTML lists Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Sorry Nintendo fans, searching “Switch” in the HMTL turns up no results.
Originally, under tagline in the HTML, it said “Shadow of The Tomb Raider is the climatic finale of Lara’s origin story. Available September 14, 2018.” Since people started browsing and sharing info buried in the HTML, though, the source code has been updated and the “Available September 14, 2018” has been removed. While this might mean the original listed date is inaccurate, it’s more likely that the web team took it down to save some surprises for the official reveal.

The developer for the previous games, Crystal Dynamics, is currently hard at work on a Marvel Avengers game, so expect publisher Square Enix to announce a different development team for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Keep an eye on official Tomb Raider social channels ahead of the first reveal tomorrow morning.
